How do I tell an Intel Mac from an Apple Silicon one?

Open the Apple menu and choose "About This Mac". A "Chip" line with Apple M means Apple Silicon, a "Processor" line with Intel means Intel.

Which Linux is supported?

A .deb package for Ubuntu 22.04 and newer, Debian 12 and Linux Mint 21 on x64. The guide also lists Karing, Hiddify and other clients that you download from GitHub.

Windows

You need Windows 10 version 1809 or newer, or Windows 11. Download the setup-Happ.x64.exe file with the "Download HAPP" button and run it. If a blue SmartScreen window appears, click "More info", then "Run anyway". Windows may ask whether to allow the app to make changes: click "Yes".

Then click "Next", "Install" and "Finish". Copy the subscription link in your account, open HAPP and click "From clipboard".

macOS

HAPP needs macOS 13 or newer. One Happ.macOS.universal.dmg file fits both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Open it, drag the Happ icon to the Applications folder and start the app. If macOS asks whether to open an app from the internet, click "Open".

Click "Add subscription to HAPP" and let the browser open the app. On the first connection the Mac may ask for a password to install the VPN component.

INCY installs from the App Store on a Mac with an M1 chip or newer. For an Intel Mac there is a separate file on the guide page, but that version is still a test one and may have errors.

Linux

The Happ.linux.x64.deb file fits Ubuntu 22.04 and newer, Debian 12 and Linux Mint 21 on x64 computers. Install it in a terminal with sudo apt install ./Happ.linux.x64.deb from the downloads folder, open HAPP from the application menu and click "From clipboard".

Connecting step by step

1Get access and choose your system in your account.
2Download and install the app following the guide.
3Add the subscription with the "Add subscription to HAPP" button, or copy the link and use "From clipboard".
4Choose a server with SMART in its name and press the big round button. The "CONNECTED" label means the VPN works.

Other apps

Besides HAPP the guides include INCY (the desktop version is still a test one), Hiddify, Karing, v2rayN, Clash Verge Rev and FlClash. Only HAPP and INCY accept the subscription with SMART servers. If something does not work in INCY on a computer, install HAPP.
